About the Movement

Founder’s Story

Caitlyn Jiao is a high school student in Taiwan who believes young people can solve real problems in  their community. After moving from the United States to Taiwan three years ago, she began noticing inconsistencies in local road design. Some traffic problems were not only caused by too many cars, but by road markings, signals, and movement patterns that made safe decisions harder. Her daily observations on Xinsheng Elevated Road became a written proposal to local officials. The proposal received an official government response, and the road-marking improvement was approved for planning. That event has sparked her desire for more actionable civic change.
